Governor.

By His Excellency Sir MARK AITCHISON YOUNG, Knight

Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael

and Saint George, Governor and Commander-in-Chief of the

Colony of Hong Kong and its Dependencies and Vice-Admiral

of the same.

WHEREAS by Section 1 of the Protected Places (Safety)

Ordinance, 1946, (Ordinance No. 16 of 1946), it is provided

that the said Ordinance shall come into operation on such date

as may be fixed by Proclamation of the Governor.

Now 1, the said Sir MARK AITCHISON YOUNG, do hereby

proclaim that the ninth day of December, 1946, is the day

fixed for the coming into operation of the said Ordinance.

GIVEN under my hand and the Public Seal of the Colony

of Hong Kong, this sixth day of December, 1946.
